The newly established role of Senior Manager – Group Compliance and Governance at AGP’s Singapore office will be essential in enhancing and reinforcing the company’s compliance framework and governance structure.
Reporting to the Group Compliance Director, this position will work closely with cross-functional teams—including IT, Legal, Operations, Finance, and HR—to support the Governance and Compliance Program, ensuring robust compliance across all global platform businesses.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement governance and compliance policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Responsible for group governance policy updates and drafting, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Assist with internal audit projects across global operations, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and identifying areas for improvement annually.
- Oversee risk management activities, including risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and monitoring processes.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments to proactively address emerging compliance issues.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on compliance matters, including regulatory inquiries and audits.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, regulators and industry associations to stay informed about compliance trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with local platforms worldwide to compile and submit quarterly compliance assurance reports, ensuring alignment and transparency in compliance efforts.
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for the AGP Global Executive Committee and the AGP Group board, ensuring timely and accurate submissions for the Board Pack on compliance and governance matters.
- Supervise local compliance officers in each platform globally, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure consistent compliance practices across all regions.
- Oversee and manage the Group e-onboarding for KYC, KYB and KYE system project.
- Support the Group Compliance Director in all ad-hoc projects and initiatives, assisting with planning and implementation strategies to enhance compliance, governance, and risk management across AGP Group globally.
Experience, skills and competencies
- In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF, ABAC regulations, data protection and compliance requirements.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute complex compliance/governance/risk management programs and driving continuous initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of statutory and legal compliance frameworks, with experience in multiple jurisdictions preferred.
- Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Global reach experience and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Desirable qualifications / professional certification (if applicable)
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in compliance governance, risk management or related fields.
